TOURIST VISA REQUIREMENT FOR Spain

Form

The application form for a Spain E-visa online to the Schengen countries must be fully filled, printed, and signed on column 37 and 38 with blue ink. Along with the application form, the Spain Authorization form, as well as the Spain Supplementary form must be filled and signed.

Flight Bookings

Copies of your flight bookings are mandatory, especially your return ticket.

Cover Letter

A cover letter that states the purpose of the visit to Spain must be produced when you apply for a Spain E-Visa online.

Travel Insurance

You must indicate proof of substantial means for your entire stay in Spain. This could be in the form of a bank account statement, sponsorship letter, or both.

Form

Passport

Your passport (along with copies of your previous visas) must be submitted. This passport must be valid for at least 3 months after your expected return date and must have at least 2 free pages. It must also not be older than 10 years. You would also require one copy of the biography data pages (in the case of Indians, this is the first and last pages).

Photograph

Two 35-45mm sized color photos must be submitted. These photos must have a light background and a neutral expression and must have been taken in the last 3 months. It should not have been used in any of the previous visas.

Flight Tickets

Copies of your flight bookings are mandatory, especially your return ticket.

Hotel Reservation

Hotel reservations for your entire stay must be clearly shown.

Travel Insurance

When you apply for a Spain E-visa online, a Spain Travel Insurance must be obtained, with a confirmed minimum coverage of €30,000 within the entire Schengen area, including Spain.

Cover Letter

A cover letter that states the purpose of the visit to Spain must be produced when you apply for a Spain E-Visa online.

Travel Itinerary

A description of your entire stay and schedule whilst in Spain must be shown. This must include the time frame and all personal data.

Proof Of Civil Status

This may include (if applicable) marriage certificates, birth certificates of children, death certificate of spouse or ration card.

Foreign Exchange

You must indicate proof of substantial means for your entire stay in Spain. This could be in the form of a bank account statement, sponsorship letter, or both.

Evidence of Employment Status

If employed, this may be in the form of an employment contract, leave permission from employer, or Income Tax returns. If self-employed, this may be in the form of a copy of your business license, the company’s bank statements from the last 6 months or Income Tax returns from the last 2 years. In the case of students, a No Objection letter from the University must be obtained, as well as proof of enrollment.

For Minors

Proof of birth certificate, as well as a letter of consent (notarized authorization letter) from parents, must be displayed.

    Usually, the processing time is 15 days. However, in some cases, it can take up to 45 days – so don’t be worried if your application is taking longer than a month!

    You can apply up to 3 months before your planned trip; a minimum of 15 days prior to the date of travel is advised, as that is the time it takes to process the visa.

    If staying for 10 days, you would need to prove that you own an overall amount of around 583.74€, which is representative of 90% of the national minimum wage. For every extra day (after 10 days), the daily amount is 64.86€.
