Travel Insurance
- Travel insurance is mandatory with coverage of a minimum of 30,000 Euros or 50,000 USD / person
- All expenses include repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention, or emergency medical treatment in the hospital.
- The insurance should cover the entire stay in the territory of Schengen
- Applicants applying for a period of 6 months or one-year multiple-entry visas are not entitled to provide 180/365 day coverage. Submitting an insurance policy that covers the first journey is sufficient
Proof of sufficient funds for undertaking travel
- Applicant needs to provide last 6 months bank statement signed and attested by a bank official in case the applicant is employed else need to provide bank statement of the person sponsoring your trip
- All bank statements must be dated within the last 1 week

Biometric
- Indian citizens applying for a Schengen visa for the first time will have to appear in person in order to provide biometric data.
